Imaging Technology

At SEEME3D, we offer you and your family affordable access to superior prenatal ultrasound in a comfortable home theater environment. These optional prenatal ultrasounds are a joyful complement to the diagnostic ultrasound studies performed by your Obstetrician.

Superior Quality and Service

We will preserve this memorable experience for you with a DVD, CD-ROM, and photographs. The CD-ROM will contain high quality digital images of your baby. With this, you may choose to make
additional photos or share images via email with friends and relatives that aren’t close enough to share in the ultrasound experience.

SEEME3D fetal ultrasound imaging, provides a clear window into an unborn baby’s world and is a wonderful way to document your pregnancy. With exciting advances in ultra-sonography, you may be able to see your baby smile, yawn, suck their fingers or toes, and even open and close their eyes during a 3D/4D live motion ultrasound.

Safety

Ultrasound has been in use for over 35 years and no harmful effects have ever been shown from responsible use. All of our ultrasonographers have specialty training in obstetric ultrasound and are certified. Our equipment is of the highest medical quality and is no different from the machines that we use for our patients with medical indications.

How ultrasound works

• 2D, 3D, and 4D ultrasounds are produced by sound waves.

• A 2D visualization is a single plane interpretation of the reflected sound waves and results in a flat picture.

• 3D ultrasound utilizes the same sound wave technology but in multiple planes. Sophisticated software creates an image showing the detailed 3D features of the baby.

• 4D ultrasound is referred to as the “4th dimension in time.” This revolutionary quad-beam technology goes beyond the boundaries of traditional ultrasound creating a real-time video showing a 3D image of the baby moving inside the womb. SEEME3D provides 4D ultrasound through live motion capture technology.

The Best Time To Obtain Ultrasound Memories

A 3D/4D ultrasound can be obtained at any time during pregnancy, however, the optimal time to have a 3D/4D Ultrasound is between 26 and 32 weeks. Early in this time-window, ultrasounds allow mothers to see more complete images of their baby. Later, 3D/4D ultrasounds reveal improved facial features since the developing fat layer enhances these images. It is important to remember that all images are dependent on the baby’s position, movement, size, and the amount of surrounding amniotic fluid.

There are several important factors involved when producing a 3D/4D ultrasound.

• Space in the womb: The larger the baby the more confining the womb. The further into the pregnancy you are, the more the remaining space decreases. The optimal time to see the baby is 26 – 28 weeks because there is still room in the womb.

• A blocked view: 2D ultrasound sees through everything. When scanning in 3D, structures like the umbilical cord or placenta appear solid and can block our view of the baby. A placenta on the front side of the womb is in front of the baby while a posterior placenta is behind the baby. With 3D/4D imaging, a posterior placental location is ideal, however, it is still possible to capture the baby.

• Surrounding fluid: It is important to stay hydrated throughout the pregnancy. Extra fluid intake a few days prior to coming in for a 3D/4D ultrasound scan is known to help with the clarity of the pictures.
